Save the Children Charity Challenges

Save the Children East Kimberley Cycle Challenge 2010

Save the Children has now launched our next exciting adventure – cycling along the iconic Gibb River Road in the East Kimberley and raising money for Save the Children’s Indigenous programs.

This five-day, 700+ km team relay event is a wonderful way to get fit, while cementing lifelong friendships and raising money and community awareness for Save the Children.

Participants arrive in Broome on Saturday 22nd May and travel to Derby. The cycling challenge starts the next day and runs through to Thursday 27th May, with a free day on Friday to explore the amazing El Questro Wilderness Park.

On the Saturday after the ride, participants will travel to Kununurra to meet Save the Children staff and learn about our Indigenous programs, before visiting The Chilling Space, a drop-in centre for Indigenous youth that will be the beneficiary of your fundraising activities.

The trip ends on Saturday night with the Airnorth Kimberley Moon Experience, an annual concert and fireworks display to celebrate the Ord Valley Muster. Participants fly out on Sunday.
