In what was the fastest growing refugee crisis in the world, the Rohingya settled in a small amount of land in Bangladesh.
Now the struggle for survival continues. The conditions in the camps are appalling; they were not designed to accommodate people for such a length of time.
Rohingya families urgently need your support to help them survive the daily challenges of life as a refugee in Cox’s Bazar.
In the squalid and overcrowded camps, families have limited opportunities to make a living, and there is limited access to services, including healthcare and quality education. Now increasing numbers are joining them, continuing to flee from Rakhine and Chin state in Myanmar.
Your support can help Save the Children in our response to this crisis. Our teams are on the ground repairing latrines and shelters damaged by the rains, providing food, water and safe spaces for children, and hygiene kits to stop disease spreading among already vulnerable people.
More help is urgently needed. Please donate today.
