Our Work In Pakistan As A Charity
We have been helping children and their families in Pakistan for many years. The work we do through our Pakistan programs helps children and their families in need by:
- Running health and nutrition programs that improve access to basic services and reduce infant and maternal deaths
- Providing support for children who have been forced into child marriage, child trafficking and other forms of exploitation and abuse (in some parts of South Central Asia our Stolen Childhood research has shown that 45% of girls are married before the age of 18)
- Helping to build community resilience to climate change in disaster-prone areas
- Providing lifesaving aid, temporary learning space, safe places to play and ongoing support during emergencies such as earthquakes, floods and conflict
In Pakistan and around the world, we also work hard campaigning to change laws, policies and systems so they better protect children and young people.
