To protect children everywhere, we work in some of the toughest places in the world
Save the Children works in Australia, in the Pacific and around the world to protect children from abuse and neglect, provide access to healthcare and education and to assist children in times of emergency.
Where we work Internationally
As a global organisation, in 2022 Save the Children reached nearly 48.8 million children across 116 countries.
Our international work spans countries in
Africa, the Pacific, South East Asia, South Central Asia and the
Middle East.
We work closely with partners across the Pacific and have offices in
Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands. We also collaborate with our
Fiji office and the government of Tonga to drive change for children and families.
Where we work in Australia
In 2022, we revealed a new name for our work in Australia - 54 reasons - representing each of the 54 articles in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. We made the change because children we work with here told us they wanted something of their own – something more accessible, relevant, playful and engaging.
With the child’s voice at the centre, we provide quality services to children and their caregivers across every state and the Northern Territory, advocating with them so that children develop, learn, and are connected, safe and confident.
