Evaluating our effectiveness
The work of Save the Children and our partners often has immediate benefits for children and young people. However, it is important that we assess the long-term outcomes and impacts at local, national, regional and global levels.
Assessing the quality of our programs helps ensure that we are constantly learning from and improving what we do. This rigorous monitoring and evaluation process enables us to improve both the design and delivery of our programs. Evidence is routinely collected during program monitoring, including against an agreed set of Global Indicators.
We use these objective, systematic evaluations to learn about the effectiveness of our interventions, whether they are direct interventions providing services for children, or the policy work we do to advocate for better practices and policies to fulfil children’s rights.
