Widely acknowledged as one of Australia's foremost educators and advocates in the field of child sexual abuse and child abuse prevention. As Principal Advisor for Child Protection Karen leads strategic thinking, technical support for programs, partnership building and skill development through implementation of Save the Children's child protection work regionally and globally.

Nick has worked in international aid and development since 1997 specialising in Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction. He currently manages Save the Children Australia’s Climate Change Division which focuses on how to address the impacts of climate change on children.

Howard Choo is a policy expert whose career has focused on leading evidence-based reform and advocating for social change in Australia. He works with governments, non-government organisations, advocates, researchers, communities and children and young people themselves to influence and drive system-level change that addresses disadvantage and fulfils children’s rights. Howard has held senior roles across the government and not-for-profit sectors.

Kylie has 30 years’ experience as a Social Worker and senior leader facilitating transformational change in organisations improving service delivery and evidence-informed practices. She is passionate about designing inspiring service and practice models focused on improving outcomes for children. A child’s rights lens underpins her work, and she strongly believes in placing children’s voices at the centre of decision making and service delivery.

“I am passionate about achieving positive social change through innovative approaches which challenge the status quo.”

Cam has extensive business development and fundraising experience developed through a number of senior roles in his 20+ years with non-government development agencies Oxfam Australia and Hands on Learning Australia (HoLA). He became Executive Director of Finance for HoLA in 2013 and led the organisation’s merger with Save the Children Australia in 2017. Over the years Cam has played a key leadership role in driving a profound increase in the investment and reach of the program. 


Julianne Wilkin – Head of Impact Investing

With two decades of corporate finance experience in debt and equity transactions, Julianne shifted her focus towards generating finance for social impact, commencing her impact journey with The Fred Hollows Foundation in 2019 and continuing her impactful work at Save the Children. Julianne now leads Save the Children Australia’s pioneering work in Child Lens Impact Investment Funds. She works with companies that not only deliver financial returns but also scale new solutions to meaningfully enhance the lives of children.
