If you’ve got some free time and are keen to provide opportunities to disadvantaged youth and underprivileged children, volunteer work with children is ideal. For over 100 years, Save the Children Australia has been protecting children from neglect, abuse, disease, war, conflict and hunger in Australia and overseas.
Our volunteer work with children opportunities are a meaningful way to provide substantial benefits to our organisation. When you volunteer your energy and time to Save the Children Australia, you help us become closer to achieving our 3 major goals:
-
That no child feels threatened with violence, abuse, neglect, war, conflict, disease, hunger or exploitation.
-
That no child dies from preventable causes before their 5th birthday. We are dedicated to ensuring all children survive and thrive.
-
That every child gets access to basic, good quality education that will set them up for life.
We believe that every child has the right to a healthy, educated and safe future.

Voluntary Work With Children Opportunities
Giving your time with volunteer work with children’s charities like Save the Children Australia is a positive way to help us deliver our emergency response and aid and development programs.
Our volunteer work with children roles deliver the following benefits:
-
Meeting like minded people and making new friends
-
Learning new skills while using your existing ones
-
Making a positive contribution to helping us solve issues affecting children in Australia and overseas.
While our aid and development programs reach children in Australia and overseas, unlike some organisations we don’t offer opportunities for volunteer work with children abroad. Our emergency response and aid and development programs in South East and South Central Asia, Africa, The Middle East and the Pacific support the work of overseas local organisations and their communities.
